Hiring Suzanne was a game changer! She is a pro: from knowing and anticipating my style and wedding theme, to seamlessly coordinating vendors, she was a dream to work with! She is such a fun person to be around as well as being on top of everything. She gives you her all but also doesn't waste your time (thank you most for that!). She handled an extremely large wedding (482 invited), crazy logistics (I wanted to serve communion to all my guests and we shuttled guests up a mountain to the wedding), and two rowdy families like a champ. Suzanne is necessary for your wedding. She went above and beyond before and during our wedding to make sure we got to just enjoy it. She kept all options within our budget and even went and made us a sign when she thought the price for one we were quoted was ridiculous. I had a big, over the top event and the one thing that I would absolutely recommend as a must for any local bride is the services of Suzanne White. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. This photo perfectly encapsulates my experience with Suzanne White Weddings. It was taken as my new husband and I walked out of our ceremony together for the first time as husband and wife and saw Suzanne before she whisked us away to share a private moment together before heading to our reception. My excitement in this photo is not just because things went off without a hitch, but working with Suzanne through this hectic process was so much fun and I gained a dear friend, with whom I was so thrilled to share this special moment in my life.
I initially hired Suzanne because I was dreading wedding planning. Work was extremely busy and I was worried the stress of planning a wedding would not only kill me but kill my relationship with my mom, because we both have strong opinions and lots of them! From day one, Suzanne HEARD my needs and my goals for the wedding and kept them in the forefront of her plans from start to finish. Even when we got into the details, she always kept my overarching needs in mind.
Suzanne's relationships in the Atlanta wedding industry are unparalleled. Every venue and vendor we met with was thrilled to be working with Suzanne on another project, which I think speaks to her professionalism and know-how. I did not have the capacity to be intimately involved in the day-to-day of decision making, so for the big ticket items (band, photographer, etc.) Suzanne would listen to what I wanted, and present a reasonable number of options that were within my budget and available on my wedding day. The legwork she put in made the decision-making process stress-free, and dare I say, FUN! Speaking of budget, Suzanne took my budget extremely seriously and kept it in check every step of the way, down to the last dollar.
Suzanne has all of the traits that are necessary for an excellent wedding planner: she is responsive, organized, experienced, and one of the hardest workers I've ever met. But the traits that make Suzanne truly special are less tangible: her warmth, compassion, intuition, and sparkliness. There were a lot of times during wedding planning that I was not feeling very sparkly, and Suzanne helped me find the joy in the process and stay true to the things that mattered to me about our wedding.
The end result was the most perfect day I could have imagined, and I can assure you that I was not setting my heart on "perfect" when I embarked on this process with her. I was so relaxed the entire wedding weekend and was able to enjoy the company of my favorite people who came to celebrate with us. Seriously-- the biggest hiccup of the weekend was missing bowties for the groomsmen (and this was my new husband's responsibility, not Suzanne's!) Our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding almost a year later, and Suzanne is the reason for that! Suzanne was highly recommended to me by a very detailed-oriented family friend. While my fiance (now husband) and I live and work in New York, our wedding took place in Midtown Atlanta. I do not have any sisters, and my father kept referring to his experience planning Atlanta Bar Association meetings in 1990, so... we needed help.
Suzanne was always extremely prompt and thoughtful in her responses to our many various questions throughout the year-long planning process. She gave practical but also creative advice. We held our reception at The High Museum, which required a tremendous amount of logistical savvy: this required coordination of rentals, food, staff, florals, staging, etc., all of which came from outside vendors, and which had to be loaded in at highly specific times as the museum is open until 5 pm on the day of the event! I am a stereotypical, type-A attorney, who would have loved to oversee every tiny detail of the day myself to make sure all was according to plan. That was not possible, of course, (and I'm definitely not qualified for such an undertaking!) and with a lesser-planner, I may have been wracked with anxiety in the hours leading up to the entrance to the reception. Not with Suzanne -- knowing that she was on it, I was remarkably calm the entire day, and everything looked gorgeous, and went off without a hitch.
One small example of the benefits of having her experience: Suzanne knew that our priority was to dance as much as possible at the reception, so she scheduled the band to take their dinner break in a way so that there was non-stop music throughout the night after toasts. We were able to rely on Suzanne for issues and concerns that we did not know we might need help with (or even existed!).
While warm and friendly, Suzanne is also a straightforward and no-nonsense advocate on your behalf during the planning process and on the day of the wedding. We were able to enjoy being with our friends and family, who had come from across the world celebrate with us. Her services are absolutely worth every cent and more. (Olivia - Bride)
